The City of Windsor and Windsor Police Service (WPS) are among several supporters of new literature to help avoid digital scams.
The publication, titled "Digital Safety for the Non-Tech Savvy", is aimed at seniors, but hopes to help anyone who is susceptible to online or phone scams.
The booklet explains how to recognize and avoid online fraud, how to maintain safe computer practices, and provides information on who to contact in the event fraud has taken place.
Windsor's mayor, Drew Dilkens, has endorsed the publication and has made it downloadable, for free, on his website. Free printed copies are also available at Canterbury College and all branches of the Windsor Public Library.
