Lambton Public Health is hosting three COVID-19 pop-up vaccination clinics this month.
The clinics are scheduled for Thursday, February 3 at St. Patrick's High School (3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.), Thursday, February 17 at the Florence and District Community Centre (12 p.m. until 6 p.m.), and Thursday, February 24 at the Brooke-Alvinston Inwood Community Centre (10 a.m. until 4 p.m.).
Walk-ins are being accepted in Florence and Brooke-Alvinston for those aged five and up for all eligible doses. Individuals are asked to book an appointment for the clinic at St. Pat's.
Lambton Medical Officer of Health Dr. Sudit Ranade said we're in the home stretch.
"We have many available appointments at the clinics in February and we’re urging those who have not been vaccinated to do so now," said Dr. Ranade. "We are starting to see a decline in bookings, so LPH will continue to offer clinics this month, but are basing future schedules on demand."
The health unit is also reporting that the provincial Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine supply has stabilized for the time being. Those under age 30 will continue to receive Pfizer for their first, second or third dose, and effective immediately, the Pfizer vaccine will be available to individuals 30 years of age and older.
"Vaccination continues to be the most important method of keeping yourself and your loved ones safe. If you are eligible, please book an appointment or attend a clinic today. Your health and the welfare of our health-care system depends on it," said Dr. Ranade.
