The University of Windsor is still evaluating what it will do with its newly acquired property on Ouellette Avenue.
The university took possession of the former home of the Windsor Star at 300 Ouellette Avenue on February 1.
UWindsor President Robert Gordon said the university's vision for the building includes a centralized space for tech innovation, experiential learning, and community building.
"We are excited about the potential of the space which will give us more options for collaboration with research and public and industry partners and is on a high-profile corner ideally located to continue the University's efforts to re-invigorate the city core,” said Gordon.
The university will be conducting further consultation to identify the campus and community needs. Gordon indicated they envision welcoming other partners into the space.
An update will be provided once plans for the property are finalized.
