Leamington Ribfest plans return in 2022

Rib lovers have something new to look forward to this summer.

Organizers of the Leamington Ribfest are planning for a comeback after a two-year hiatus.

The inaugural event was in 2019. Organizers had to postpone it in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic.

Organizers are confident their safety plans will allow the event to go ahead.

"Our overall goal is to have the event at an almost full-event scale," said organizer Chris Glassford. "However, we are aware reduced attendance or drive-thru methods may need to be implemented under last-minute mandates and conditions."

This year's event is planned for July 21 to July 24 and will feature a Blacklight Dance Party, local entertainers, and an 80's hair band tribute night.
