The Town of Essex is looking for a few good young people to help operate its summer activities this year.
The municipality has opened up applications for summer student jobs, which range from internships to positions in the city's parks.
"The Summer Youth Employment Program is a great opportunity to learn new skills and gain working experience in a variety of disciplines," said Essex Human Resources Director Brandi Sieben.
"The program allows young people to explore potential career paths in a positive and supportive environment."
Applicants must be able to work in Canada and be 16 or older. Full-time students who will be attending high school, college, university, or a trade school full time in the fall are preferred.
Positions are available for harbour attendants, horticulture, parks and recreation, and public works. There are also internships in economic and tourism development, drainage, human resources, heritage and planning, and communications.
Interested applicants may submit an online form by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 25. Applications can also be emailed to hr@essex.ca or dropped off in person at Essex Town Hall or the Colchester South Recreation Centre.
