Mayor's home target of bomb threat

A 31-year-old Windsor woman has been arrested and charged after a bomb threat was made against Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens' home.

The Windsor Police Service launched the investigation Monday after the threat was made on a social media thread about ongoing COVID-19 mandates. Police say the threat was specific to the home of Mayor Dilkens.

Police identified a suspect who was arrested without incident on Thursday. The person is facing a charge of threats to property.  The charge has not been proven in court.

No further information, including the woman's name, has been released at this time.
