A Windsor judge has granted a continuation of an injunction that prohibits people from impeding or blocking access to the Ambassador Bridge or any approaching roadways.
The City of Windsor requested the injunction be continued because of the imminent threat of a blockade reforming.
Counsel for the City of Windsor Jennifer King asked for the injunction to remain in place until it is discharged by the court.
Chief Justice Geoffrey Morawetz granted the continuation of the injunction on Friday afternoon, but his reasons will not be submitted until Tuesday. The original injunction was set to expire on Monday.
Police continue to monitor activity along Huron Church Road and all of its access points.
We continue to remind the public that enforcement is ongoing in the demonstration area and there will be zero tolerance for illegal activity.
