The Municipality of Leamington is still looking for young people to fill summer jobs.
Students wanting to apply for summer jobs, or seasonal positions with the municipality have until Monday, February 28 to apply.
Leamington was expecting a higher candidate pool this season over recent years since there is no job lottery, and hiring is not limited to Leamington residents.
Positions are available for day camp counsellors, lifeguards and swim instructors, marina attendants, and parks and waterfront labourers. Student positions are also in the civil engineering, parks and roads, pollution control, and human resources departments.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and be enrolled full-time at a secondary school, college, or university. You must be able to legally work in Canada and be returning to school for full-time study in fall 2022.
The program requires applications for first-time applicants, as well as those who have worked for the municipality during previous summers.
Job-seekers must provide proof-of-enrollment from either the school office or the college or university registrar. Applications submitted without this information will not be considered. Class schedules and tuition payment receipts are not counted as proof of enrollment.
To apply, follow the link to the municipality's official website. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. Monday.
