Windsor police lay charges in child pornography investigation

A 49-year-old Windsor man has been charged after an investigation by the Windsor Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

Officers began an investigation in January after receiving information that the suspect may have been in possession of images of the sexual abuse of children.

Police got a warrant and searched a home on Ouellette Avenue. Several items were seized as evidence.

On Thursday, the man was arrested and charged with two counts of possessing child pornography, accessing child pornography, and transmitting child pornography. The charges have not been proven in court.
