Local investors have joined together with a multi-year commitment to end child poverty in Windsor Essex.
The ProsperUs collective brings together investors, partners, and residents who have committed to rolling out solutions to eliminate barriers to success that children face.
“This is a call to action to our community, to philanthropists who want to be on the cutting edge of collective community impact, to join us in the fight to ensure that children in our community have every opportunity to succeed in school and in life,” says Liz O’Neil Meurehg, Co-Chair of the ProsperUs Investors Table.
Each investor has committed $50,000 a year for five years to help achieve this goal. A total of $7.8 million has been secured for the five-year program.

Investors include Bill and Rochelle Tepperman, BMO Financial Group, the Gordie Howe International Bridge Community Benefits Plan, Green Shield Canada, RBC, Richard and Donna Farrow, TD Bank Group, and the O'Neil Foundation.
The United Way/Centraide Windsor Essex County is the backbone organization that will help roll out the strategies at a community level.
