The City of Windsor has invited residents to celebrate the earth with a specially-designed app.
Starting Sunday and ending on April 30, people can use the GooseChase app to participate in a virtual scavenger hunt, covering topics related to the earth and environment.
Each day will feature a unique theme, with subjects ranging from the Detroit River and wastewater to active transportation and biodiversity. Each activity is designed for the user to complete at their own pace, wherever they feel safe to do so.
The City will bring back its in-person celebration of Earth Day on Saturday, April 24, when it teams up with the Essex Windsor Solid Waste Authority (EWSAA) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Malden Park. The event is free and will feature vendors, exhibitors, and interactive activities.
Complete information on Windsor's Earth Day events can be found on the City's official website.
