Police arrest suspect in west end shooting

A 23-year-old Lakeshore woman is facing charges in connection to a shooting in Windsor's west end last month.

The incident happened on Prince Road around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8. Residents in the area reported hearing several gunshots before seeing a car speed away. No injuries were reported.

Shortly after the incident, Windsor police released a photo of a suspect after reviewing surveillance video from the area.

On Tuesday, April 19, Windsor police reported a 23-year-old had been arrested and is facing charges of careless use of a firearm, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm, disturbing the peace, reckless discharge of a firearm, and being in possession of a firearm without a license.

Investigators say there is another suspect outstanding and the weapon connected to the incident has not been recovered.
