The Windsor region has hit another grim milestone with over 600 COVID-19-related deaths reported since the start of the pandemic.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit reported another six deaths Wednesday, bringing the total number of deaths connected to the virus to 604.
The recently reported deaths were all individuals from the community between the ages of 50 and 100.
The health unit also reported another 152 high-risk cases. There are currently 396 known active cases in the community.
There are 58 people admitted to local hospitals who have tested positive for the virus. Three COVID-19 positive patients have been admitted to the intensive care unit.
The health unit is monitoring 23 active outbreaks.
