Windsor firefighters kept busy Thursday

Firefighters were hard at work tackling at least two fires in different sections of Windsor on Thursday.

The first fire broke out in the early morning hours on Meadowbrook Lane, just off Lauzon Road. Crews arrived around 5 a.m. to find a small fire that was quickly put out.

Windsor Fire and Rescue said there were no injuries and no one was displaced in that incident. The damage caused by the fire was minimal.

The fire was declared out around 4:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported in the Curry Avenue fire, but the damage estimate was $75,000. Careless cooking has been named the cause.
