Windsor police would like to speak with anyone who might have heard gunshots ring out early Friday morning in the city's east end.
The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. along Buckingham Drive near South National Street police say.
Officers were called to the area and later learned that a small, dark coloured sedan was reportedly seen racing away, heading north on Buckingham Drive, and then west on South National Street.
While members of the Forensics Identification Unit investigated, they located evidence, including several spent shell casings on the road.
No one was injured, but a residence and a parked vehicle sustained damage from being struck with bullets.
Investigators from the Major Crime Unit continue to investigate. Anyone with surveillance cameras and vehicles equipped with dash cams that are in the area located between Reginald Street and South National Street, and the westbound side of South National Street from Buckingham Drive, is asked to check their footage for potential evidence.
Police believe this was a targeted incident however, the public is advised to be aware of their surroundings as the firearm remains outstanding. If the suspect vehicle or suspect(s) are seen, do not approach and call 911.
