Ford makes last appeal for seat in Windsor-Tecumseh

Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford made a stop at Laval Tool and Mould in Tecumseh Monday afternoon to make a final appeal prior to Election Day.

The seat in Windsor-Tecumseh is considered up for grabs by all parties as there is no incumbent in the race.

Running in Windsor-Tecumseh for the PC Party is Andrew Dowie. He has served two terms on the council for the Town of Tecumseh.

During the visit, Essex County Warden Gary McNamara endorsed his council colleague.

"He's been dedicated to this community, but not only for the town itself but he's a big picture individual. Not afraid to get a bloody nose, to get in the trenches. But also, he's there with compassion, respect and he delivers," said McNamara.

During his campaign stop, ford appealed to voters to vote for Dowie so the region can have a "seat at the table."

"It's time to get it done, but we can't do it alone. It's time for Windsor-Essex to have a seat at the table," said Ford. "We need a voice at the table it's time to send Andrew Dowie and our great Windsor region candidates to Queen's Park."

Election Day is June 2. Also running in Windsor-Tecumseh are Gary Kaschak for the Liberal Party, Gemma Grey-Hall for the New Democratic Party, Steven Gifford for the Ontario Party, Melissa Coulbeck for the Green Party, Sophia Sevo for the New Blue Party, David Sylvestre with the None of the Above Direct Democracy Party and independents Giovanni Abati, Nick Babic, and Laura Chesnik.
