Adventure Bay will reopen next week after being closed for over two years due to the pandemic.
The park will open on July 4 and will be open daily from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. until Labour Day weekend.
"Our hours at the water park are based on our current staffing compliment and like a lot of aquatic facilities across the country there is a significant aquatics staff shortage which will take us a while to build back up," said Jennifer Knights, executive director of recreation and culture with the City of Windsor.
The summer rate is $14 for City of Windsor residents and $16.50 for general admission. Children two and under can enter the facility for free.
Safety checks have been conducted on all of the slides and attractions prior to the reopening.
Knights indicated they will re-evaluate staffing levels in the fall to determine the fall schedule.
Most outdoor pools in the city are also open this week. Atkinson, Central, Mic Mac, Remington Booster, and Riverside Centennial Outdoor Pools all have recreational swimming and other programming throughout the summer. Lanspeary Lions Outdoor Pool will not open this summer due to structural and mechanical issues.
