OPP lay impaired driving charges in crash

A Kingsville woman faces impaired driving charges after a crash in Lakeshore on Tuesday afternoon.

The Ontario Provincial Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on County Road 27 south of Highway 401 around 1 p.m.

After speaking with the driver, the officer concluded the woman had been drinking and took her into custody.

The 30-year-old faces one count of operation of a vehicle while impaired. A second charge is impaired operation with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg.

The woman's vehicle is impounded for the next week, and her license is suspended for three months.

Police said the woman will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on July 6.

The OPP also charged a 22-year-old Leamington man with impaired driving in a separate incident just before noon on Tuesday.

An officer pulled over a vehicle on Talbot Street West in Leamington and arrested the driver.

He'll appear in a Leamington courtroom on July 12.
