UPDATE: Second stabbing suspect arrested, suspect vehicle outstanding

The Windsor Police Service has arrested a second person wanted in connection to a stabbing that sent two people to the hospital.

Around 7:15 a.m. Monday, police were called to Edward Avenue near Melrose Avenue, where they found two men with non-life threatening stab wounds. Both men were taken to hospital.

After an investigation, police discovered one of the victims was forced into a vehicle against his will and assaulted.

As a result, officers identified two suspects, the first identified as Robert Labreque, 21, was arrested Monday evening and charged with kidnapping with intent to cause harm, possession of a weapon, and failing to comply with a release order.

Early Thursday evening, police confirmed that the second suspect, 30-year-old Lawrence Chinyangwa was arrested Thursday morning. He faces several charges including kidnapping, possession of a weapon, and possession of a prohibited firearm.

This vehicle has not been found. It is described as an older model maroon or dark red Pontiac van.
