Gignac running for another term

Long-time Windsor City Councillor Jo-Anne Gignac is running for another term on council.

Gignac filed her nomination papers for the Ward 6 position on Monday.

She has been a member of Windsor City Council for nearly 20 years as she was first elected to the seat in 2003.

Dylon Graves, Beth St. Denis, and Ashley Lafreniere are also running for the position.

Only two members of the current council have not announced their plans for the upcoming election. Mayor Drew Dilkens and Ward 1 Councillor Fred Francis have not filed papers or announced they will not be running.

The last day to file nomination papers is August 19, 2022.

The municipal election is on October 24, 2022.
