The fire on Woodward Boulevard near Moxlay Avenue has displaced six people, but no injuries are reported.
Firefighters were called to the home around 5 p.m., and it was out an hour later, although there were still some hotspots.
The cause is listed as undetermined.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
