Windsor police issue arrest warrant for suspect wanted in random attack

Windsor police have identified a suspect wanted in a random act of violence reported downtown late Saturday morning.

At around 11 a.m. police were called to the area of Park Street West and Pelissier Street for reports of a person being assaulted.

On Monday, police announced they have identified the suspect and have issued a warrant for his arrest.

The accused, identified as 35-year-old Steven Kennedy of Windsor is wanted for charges of aggravated assault, robbery and mischief.

Kennedy is described as White, 5'8", 165 lbs with short brown shaggy hair, brown stubble, and blue eyes. Police say he is known to frequent the downtown area. Investigators are advising to not approach the suspect if seen.
