OPP release sketch of Lakeshore sexual assault suspect

Ontario Provincial Police are hopeful a sketch will help people identify a sexual assault suspect.

Officers from the OPP Lakeshore Detachment arrived in the area of Amy Croft Drive and Branton Crescent at around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 1. A woman told police she was jogging when she was confronted by a stranger. The victim was able to get away and find a safe place.

Police have now released a composite sketch of the suspect and have asked the public to take a look.

The suspect has been described as a White male in his mid-20s. He is 5′ 7″ with a slim build and was wearing a black sweater with black pants. The man was last seen running along Amy Croft Drive toward West Pike Creek Road.

Investigators are also asking those living in the area to check any security camera footage and give them a call if they see anything unusual.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect, or has information, should call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), to be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
