WPS investigating bomb threat at local high school

The Windsor Police Service has cleared students to re-enter Holy Names High School after a bomb threat was made at the school.

Students have been allowed to re-enter the building to retrieve their personal belongings and will be dismissed for the rest of the day.

Students waiting for transportation will be asked to go to the cafeteria where they will be supervised by school staff.  All roads surrounding the school have been reopened.

Those students with special needs will be supervised until their transportation arrives at the usual pick-up times.

The school was evacuated around 11 Friday morning. Students were escorted to the football field and provided with water and snacks while they waited for the Windsor Police Service to conduct its investigation.

Police said the investigation into the threat is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact them.
