Coats for Kids campaign needs donations

The organizers of this year's Coats for Kids campaign are looking to collect 6,000 new or gently used coats by the end of October.

The UHC- Hub of Opportunities started collecting coats in September but still has a long way to go.

“With the rising cost of living, many individuals struggle to provide these necessities and turn to organizations like UHC for help,” said June Muir, CEO of the UHC – Hub of Opportunities. “We work with volunteers and community partners to provide children, with warm, clean, and affordable coats, and we are asking our community for their help to ensure no one goes cold this winter.”

Coats will be distributed starting Saturday, November 12, 2022.

Residents can drop off coats at the UHC Hub of Opportunities office in east Windsor or at various businesses throughout the community. A list of businesses can be found here.
