No injuries reported in two Windsor fires

Windsor fire officials say no one was hurt, but hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage was the result of two fires Friday.

The first one was reported shortly after midnight on California Avenue near Ojibway Street. Crews arrived and brought the fire under control within half an hour.

The cause of the first blaze is undetermined, but there was a damage estimate of $350,000.

The second one took place later Friday morning on Bruce Avenue near Park Street West.

Few details on the fire itself have been released, but the cause was determined to be the careless disposal of smoking material.

Two people have been displaced, with a damage estimate at $50,000.
