Motorists asked to use extra caution along E.C. Row for next two weeks

City officials are asking drivers to pay attention and take extra care while commuting along the E.C. Row Expressway starting Monday morning.

For the next two weeks, park staff with the City of Windsor will be cutting grass along the highway on the centre median, roadside shoulders and along all on-and-off ramps.

"Crews will begin at 6:30 a.m., and there will be rolling lane closures in effect for the cutting along shoulders and on/off ramps," a release from the City read.

The work will go on until 4:30 p.m. each day. After the completion of the shoulder work, crews will then begin to mow grass along the median beginning at Huron Church Road heading east towards Banwell Road.

Motorists are asked to slow down if they come across workers and traffic protection equipment on or near the roadways while the work is being done.

The City said the work will take about two weeks, weather dependent.
