Windsor ward 9 & 10 candidates to face off in debate

A debate for candidates registered in Windsor's Wards 9 and 10 is on Monday night at the Babylon Banquet Hall.

The Integrative Canadian Group Organization and the Chaldean Association of Windsor are hosting the event.

Organizers say all candidates in both wards have confirmed their attendance.

"Our co-hosted debate is with councilor candidates of two of the most interesting and significant ward races in our city, Ward 9 & 10, and will also cover a variety of city issues and questions. There is also a specific question posed to councilor candidates regarding how organizations can be assisted with local integration services," said Khassan Saka, executive director of the ICGO. "We welcome all residents of Windsor to attend this free debate venue, and to be part of our wonderful democratic interactive process, which can further help in making a more informed voting decision on October 24th."

The debate for Ward 9 begins at 6 p.m., and the Ward 10 debate starts at 7 p.m.

The debate is free to attend but a dinner buffet is available for $25.
