A Windsor man is now facing multiple charges following a break-in last week.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call at around 3:45 a.m. on October 20 about a break-and-enter at a business on Talbot Street North in Essex. Officers determined that forced entry had occurred, and the owner confirmed to police that items were taken.
On Thursday, officers from the Essex County Community Street Crime Unit located a suspect and took him into custody.
A 31-year-old man is charged with break-and-enter to commit an indictable offence, possession of break-in instruments, failure to comply with a probation order, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order other than to attend court.
The charges have not been proven in court. The suspect has been held pending a bail hearing.
