All schools within the Greater Essex County District School Board will stay open on Friday.
That's despite the expected strike by CUPE members.
In the GECDSB, CUPE represents secretaries, clerks, custodians, maintenance staff, Information Technology technicians, couriers, and media services.
The school board said it does not foresee any pickets or demonstrations at any of the schools.
"A plan is in place to compensate for absent employees, however, if you are calling the school, please be patient. You may need to leave a message and someone will respond as soon as possible," said a statement from the board.
All childcare centers that operate in our schools will stay open unless you are notified otherwise by individual operators.
Schools with the WECDSB will be closed on Friday.
