Windsor police search for hit-and-run driver

After a 33-year-old man was injured in a hit-and-run, the Windsor Police Service has asked the public for help identifying the driver.

According to police, on November 18 before 8 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a black SUV at the intersection of Elsmere Avenue and Ellis Street E. The victim was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. At the time of the incident, the driver was travelling northbound on Elsmere Avenue. Police believe the front of the SUV will be damaged as a result of the collision.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding this case to come forward immediately. They also ask anyone who lives in the area to check security cameras for footage that may assist in the investigation.
