Ontario Provincial Police in Tecumseh charged two people with impaired driving over the weekend.
Around 1 a.m. on Saturday, officers were called to investigate a single-vehicle collision on William Street in Tecumseh.
Investigators determined the car left the road and drove onto the lawn of a home and hit a brick pillar. The driver then left the scene.
The driver then placed a 9-1-1 call to report their vehicle stolen. Officers patrolled the area and found the vehicle and a driver.
A 36-year-old from Tecumseh is facing charges of public mischief, failure to stop after an accident, impaired operation- alcohol and drugs, and impaired operation with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus. The charges have not been proven in court.
Officers were called to another single-vehicle collision on County Road 46 and Sexton Sideroad on Sunday night.
A 59-year-old from Kingsville was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus. These charges have not been proven in court.
