Windsor police have arrested one person following a raid that resulted in illicit drugs and weapons being removed from the street.
Officers from the Drugs and Guns Enforcement (DIGS) Unit executed a search warrant Wednesday afternoon at a home on Kamloops Street off Calderwood Avenue.
During the search, investigators confiscated a loaded Ruger-5.7 firearm, 149 grams of fentanyl, 47 grams of cocaine, 25 tablets of oxycodone, and $1,800 in Canadian currency.
A 20-year-old Windsor resident has been charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance with intent to sell, and one count each of unlawful possession of a Schedule I substance, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm without a licence or registration certificate, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, unsafe storage of a firearm, and breach of a peace bond.
The charges have not been proven in court.
