Stodgell Park improvements officially unveiled

The City of Windsor is celebrating the completion of a number of improvements to Stodgell Park.

The city spent $650,000 to construct a new parking lot, a multi-use trail around the park, and a new toboggan hill. New solar lights and waste receptacles were also installed.

"Everyone seems really happy with what's being constructed here and the improvements that are being made. Don't forget this was a much different park just a few years ago. People are seeing improvements that benefit and enhance their quality of life," said Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens.

In the spring, over 30 new trees will be planted and park benches will be installed around the park.

The six-acre park located on the corner of Kildare Road and Seneca Street is also home to an accessible playground.
