Hit-and-run suspect sought in LaSalle

LaSalle police would like to speak to a person who may have been involved in a hit-and-run crash Thursday.

It happened on Front Road near Reaume Road. Police say two vehicles were involved. One of the drivers failed to remain at the scene, while the other suffered a minor injury and vehicle damage.

Surveillance camera images of the person have been released, and the public is being asked to take a look.

The suspect is described as a White male, early to mid-60s, standing about 5'8", with an average build, and walking with a noticeable limp.

Senior Constable Terry Seguin said at the time of the incident, the man was wearing a blue jacket with yellow around the collar, blue jeans white and black shoes. His vehicle is described as a newer model, black Chevy Silverado.

Police are asking the person to contact them. Anyone with information on the person's identity should call LaSalle police Constable Jabrail at (519) 969-5210. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
