A Leamington-based entrepreneur and CEO has been honoured in the Business Elite Awards as a Top 40 Under 40 leader in Canada.
Kyra Cole's company, KLB Consulting, is a firm that works with municipalities, First Nation communities, and various brands from all over the world. Cole's business was established five years ago and has already garnered tens-of-millions in funding and revenue.
"I am grateful for recognition in this industry in which I love to work, and I could not do it without the incredible roster of clients and colleagues that we have the honour of supporting on a daily basis," Cole said. "The work we do is truly in service of others and I'm thankful to be included amongst the list of incredible folks doing great work across the country."
Cole had experience in economic development long before KLB Consulting came to be. Having spent more than 10 years in the field, she realized that there were vast financial opportunities available, but these funds were not easily accessible to marginalized groups. Her goal was to create a business that would help diversify the economic landscape.
"I believe that regenerative practices are the path forward to achieving equity, justice, and inclusivity in economic development,” Cole shared. “This starts with elevating the voices of underrepresented people, which is where I want to focus my work now and in the future."
Cole and the other 39 award recipients will be honoured in Toronto, Las Vegas, and Paris later this year.
