A fire at an apartment building near downtown Windsor has forced one individual out of their home Thursday night.
According to Windsor Fire and Rescue Services, the fire broke out at a building located at 1361 Assumption Street sometime before 9 p.m.
Crews managed to put the fire out swiftly, and they began to clear remaining smoke from the building.
Fire officials have not stated a cause and a damage estimate is not available however, damages are said to be minimal.
Although the blaze did not cause much destruction to the building, the local Red Cross has been called in to assist with one tenant who has been displaced due to the incident.
