One injured in Leamington crash

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say one person suffered minor injuries in a collision Monday morning in Leamington.

Officers were called shortly after 8 a.m. to County Road 34 near County Road 31. A passenger vehicle crashed into a school bus. Photos provided by the OPP show extensive damage to the vehicle's hood, as well as the rear of the school bus.

The OPP say there were 35 students on the school bus, but no one aboard was hurt. The driver of the other vehicle was treated by Essex-Windsor EMS for minor injuries.

A 32-year-old Lakeshore resident has been cited for careless driving.

County Road 34 remains open to traffic, though the OPP has asked drivers to expect delays until the area is cleaned up.
