Suspect in Windsor shooting turns himself in

A man wanted by Windsor police after an east-end home was shot at last month has turned himself in to authorities.

The incident happened on February 25. Investigators received a call about a 24-year-old man seen on social media pointing a gun at a camera. It turned out that days before, the man allegedly fired a single shot at a home in the area of Tecumseh Road East and Robinet Road.

No one was hurt in the incident.

David "Ivan" Trombley surrendered to police Tuesday. He had been wanted for possession of a firearm without a licence, possession while prohibited, discharging a firearm in an enclosed space, careless use of a weapon, possession of a loaded firearm, mischief under $5,000, and failure to comply with a release order.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Police would like to thank the public for its help in resolving this matter.
