Warrants issued for Windsor bank fraud suspects

Windsor police say it has identified two people caught on camera engaging in bank fraud last month.

Investigators say the pair visited a bank on Tecumseh Road East near Lauzon Parkway on March 17, and fraudulently withdrew the money from a victim’s account. The two suspects then visited another bank on Wyandotte Street near St. Louis Avenue and tried to withdraw another $6,000. The pair fled the bank when an employee became suspicious.

Police have identified the suspects as Tara Nicholls, 49, and John Cribb, 47. Both are each charged with two counts of fraud over $5,000, two counts of personation, possession of identity documents belonging to someone else, and one count of conspiracy to commit an offence.

In addition, Cribb is facing two counts of unlawful possession of a counterfeit mark, and one count of fraud under $5,000. The charges have not been proven in court.

Police have requested the suspects turn themselves in, and believe the pair may be in the Greater Toronto Area.
