Humane society microchipping pets this weekend

If you want to protect your pet if they get out of your house or leave your yard, the Windsor Essex County Humane Society is holding a microchipping clinic in Amherstburg.

The first clinic of the year is on Sunday at the Libro Centre from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The drive-thru event allows pet owners to get their pets microchipped without leaving their vehicles.

Dogs, cats, and rabbits will be microchipped, no appointment required, for $20.

The humane society accepts only cash.

Dog owners who live in Amherstburg can get their dogs licensed for the year at the same time. Town of Amherstburg staff will be on-site to renew those.

Those going need to enter the Libro Centre parking lot from Meloche Road and follow the signage.
