Collège Boréal making more community connections

Collège Boréal and Réseau-femmes du Sud-Ouest de l’Ontario signed a new agreement today to share services and improve outcomes for French-speaking women in the region.

The collaboration will give women experiencing domestic violence, especially newcomers to the region, access to employment services along with other social services.

“Recognizing and fully embracing our role as a community college is a privilege we must use to serve those who need it most. With this new memorandum of understanding with Réseau-femmes du Sud-Ouest de l’Ontario, Collège Boréal can make a real difference in the lives of women in our region by facilitating their socio-economic integration and their personal and professional development,” said Frédéric Boulanger, campus director.

All services will be available at the Windsor campus.

"This is an exciting and promising step for the Réseau and Francophone women attending the Collège. It will allow us to offer our services directly to students, an important step in consolidating our joint offer of French language services to better accommodate Francophone women in all regions,” said Linda Rochon, chair of the board of directors of Réseau-femmes du Sud-Ouest de l’Ontario.

College Boreal has similar partnerships with the Downtown Mission and Matthew House.
