Kingsville hosting nature event

The Town of Kingsville is encouraging residents to "Get in Touch with Nature" with a free community event.

The Communities in Bloom Committee is hosting the event at the Grovedale Arts and Culture Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

“We have a full agenda planned with engaging speakers and interesting topics,” said Committee Council Representative, Thomas Neufeld. “Our keynote speaker is renowned Canadian environmentalist and author Lorraine Johnson, who will speak on gardening for beauty and biodiversity.”

The agenda includes planting to attract purple martins or monarch butterflies to your garden, mushrooms, and becoming a Bee City.

“Anyone who loves to garden or wants to enhance their environmental stewardship will find value in this event,” Neufeld continued. “We hope to see a great crowd this year.”

The Arts Society of Kingsville (ASK) will also be onsite hosting nature-themed crafts for kids.
