Windsor police have arrested a man connected to a bank robbery two weeks ago.
On May 10, officers were called to a bank on Tecumseh Road East near Walker Road. Police learned that a lone man entered the bank, approached a teller, and demanded money. He was given some cash and took off on foot.
Around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers from the Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Unit located and arrested a 49-year-old man on Marentette Avenue near Giles Boulevard East.
The man has been charged with robbery with threats of violence, wearing a disguise to commit an indictable offence, and possessing a prohibited firearm without holding a licence and registration certificate.
The charges have not been proven in court.
