Leamington man facing multiple sex-related charges

A 31-year-old man has been charged in connection with multiple sexual assaults.

Ontario Provincial Police say officers began looking into a sexual assault complaint in mid-April. Investigators uncovered information suggesting that the victim had been abused numerous times between March 2021 and October 2022.

The Leamington man is now charged with four counts of sexual assault, and four counts of sexual exploitation.

The suspect was released from custody and will have a chance to defend himself against the charges at a later date in a Windsor court.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), to be eligible for a cash reward.

Victims of sexual assault are urged to get help if in crisis. In an immediate emergency, call 911. Resources are also available by calling Victim Services Windsor-Essex County at (519) 723-2711.
