Art Windsor-Essex offers best seat in the house for Ford Fireworks

Art Windsor-Essex, the art gallery on Windsor's riverfront, is selling tickets for those who want to watch this year's Ford Fireworks in style.

The Ford Fireworks on the Detroit River return this year on Monday, June 26, and the art gallery in Windsor is using the occasion to raise funds.

Those who attend Fireworks Returns are encouraged to dress up in a way that reflects the display of light and colour in the fireworks display. Music and artistic entertainment will greet guests throughout the night as they sample appetizers from Thyme Kitchen and libations from Maiden Lane Wine and Spirits Bar.

All funds raised will support the art gallery's efforts to become a 21st Century destination with innovative education programming, digital advancements, and art and wellness activities.

"We are thrilled to host this momentous fundraising event, marking the gallery's triumphant return to in-person gatherings," said Executive Director Jennifer Matotek. "Fireworks Returns not only honours Windsor's cherished tradition but also signifies Art Windsor-Essex's evolution into a person-centred art gallery."

The event returns after a four-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tickets can be purchased online.

The fireworks start at 10 p.m.
