Leamington to extend transit during summer events

Visitors to Leamington this summer will have more options for transit during events.

The Municipality is once again extending the hours of its LT-GO on-demand transit system to accommodate visitors attending summer events, including the Mill Street Market, the Onthe42 Summer Concert Series, and Hogs For Hospice.

The extended service will begin this Friday, and riders will be able to use the service until 11 p.m. Hours will also be extended to 11 p.m. for the Summer Concert Series at the Sunset Amphitheatre and until 12:30 a.m. during Hogs For Hospice, which runs the first weekend in August.

Riders can book rides by downloading the free Blaine Transit app, or calling (519) 325-5960, for themselves and up to nine guests. A trip can be booked up to seven days in advance, or a minimum of 45 minutes before their departure time if booking for the same day. Buses pick up passengers at 126 pre-set locations throughout the Municipality.

The cost to ride is $3 for adults and $2.50 for seniors and students with a valid student ID. If you want to use the service during event hours, you are encouraged to book up to seven days in advance to avoid being turned away.

Complete information on the LT-GO system can be found on the Municipality's official website.
