Police originally reported that a stranger approached the victim in Optimist Memorial Park, and after a brief conversation, sexually assaulted her.
After a further investigation, police say the stranger did not commit the sexual assault.
The Major Crimes Unit continues its investigation, but police say the public is not at risk.
Windsor police are looking for two suspects involved in a violent assault over the weekend.
