A long-running thrash metal band is ready to rock the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor later this fall.
The entertainment complex announced Monday that the Grammy Award-winning band Megadeth will play the Colosseum on September 21 with special guest Biohazard.
Since its first album, "Killing is My Business," was released in 1985, five of Megadeth's 16 studio albums have gone platinum. Five albums have cracked the top ten on the Canadian album chart, with 2016's "Dystopia" peaking at number-3 in Canada and the U.S.
The title track from "Dystopia" won the band its first Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance after Megadeth was nominated 13 times.
Hit singles include "Trust", "Almost Honest", "Crush 'Em", and "Breadline", all of which reached the top ten on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart. Other hits include "Symphony of Destruction" and "In My Darkest Hour."
Megadeth's current lineup includes lead singer and guitarist Dave Mustaine, bassist James LoMenzo, guitarist Kiko Loureiro, and drummer Dirk Verbeuren.
The opening act, Biohazard, was formed in New York City in 1987. It is best known for its albums "Urban Discipline" and "State of the World Address," the latter of which peaked at number-48 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
