Windsor police are investigating what appears to be a random machete attack overnight.
Officers arrived on Wyandotte Street East and Langlois Avenue around 3 a.m. to find three people with arm injuries. It looked like someone had slashed them with a weapon.
The trio was sitting on a bench when a white van drove up and stopped nearby. The victims told police that a man got out and attacked them with a machete.
The van, which had two other people inside, then took off.
All three victims, two female and one male, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not say if the victims and suspect were known to each other.
The investigation is ongoing.
